Get ready for a wonderfully wacky, gloriously giggle-filled celebration of one of Britain’s best-loved entertainers as Happiness! The Ken Dodd Exhibition arrives at Showtown this summer.
Opening on 24 June and running until 2 January, this major new exhibition brings Sir Ken Dodd’s extraordinary world of comedy, laughter and happiness to Blackpool in spectacular style. Packed with iconic costumes, famous tickling sticks, rare memorabilia, original notebooks, hilarious props and interactive experiences, it’s a joyful journey through the life and career of the legendary “Master of Mirth”.
Created in partnership with National Museums Liverpool and The Ken Dodd Charitable Foundation, Happiness! is a nationally significant exhibition and following its hugely successful run at Museum of Liverpool, the exhibition comes exclusively to Showtown - making Blackpool its one and only destination beyond Liverpool.
Visitors of all ages can discover the magic, mischief and pure happiness that made Doddy a household name, while exploring a dazzling collection celebrating his deep and lifelong connection with the town. Expect laughter, nostalgia, surprises and plenty of tattyfilarious fun along the way.
The exhibition arrives during another landmark year for Showtown, Blackpool’s award-winning Museum of Fun and Entertainment, proudly recognised with the TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice Award 2026 for the second consecutive year.
