Showtown | In the Spotlight with Alastair Stewart Skip to content

Meet Alastair Stewart from Studio Treble Ltd.

Self professed ‘geek’, Ali Stewart has been creating, building and managing technical projects since 2010. As a trained industrial designer, Ali has always had an eye for good design and how this can be applied to digital products. With a good understanding of the creative, motion and development processes as well as the business world, he has put this knowledge to good use working on projects for Heston Blumenthal, The BBC and Manchester City Football Club.

Ali is the Co-Founder and Managing Director of Studio Treble. Along with his team, Ali is responsible for Showtown's brand new website, along with brand and design consultancy, True North.

We asked Ali a few questions about his time working with Showtown and his favourite things about Blackpool!

What did you enjoy most about working with Showtown?

It’s been an interesting project for us. I think working with a team that has such an obvious commitment to evolving and shaping their own town through its history and culture has been a real motivator to deliver for the Showtown team.

What are the most important factors in web design and development?

So understanding who we are speaking to, what they are looking to achieve online and how to communicate with them are the three key pillars to a successful site. Page designs, user experience and interaction should always be informed, challenged and shaped by the answers to these three things.

If you had to describe Showtown in three words, what would it be?

"Uplifting, Vibrant, Unique!"

What is your favourite thing about Blackpool?

Childhood memories of fish and chips by the sea!
